Day 26 – A Day Off Before the Big Climb
It’s raining, and it’s cold.
So after eight straight days of biking we are taking a day off. It is probably for the best, as tomorrow our
ride begins with a climb up the second highest mountain we will bike on this
journey. We will summit the Togwotee
Pass, which is 9,658 feet high. We are
starting at about 6,700 feet so it will be almost a 3,000-foot climb. Looking forward to seeing how we handle the
climb with the added challenge of thinner air.
It rained all day, and the clouds obstructed the view of the
Tetons so we spent the afternoon loading up on supplies and food at Jackson
Hole, WY. Below are a couple pictures
from last night’s cloudy, but still spectacular, sunset.
Togwotee Pass – here we come.
